Restoring Sand on Beaches

Dredging is the most harmful method of sand replenishment. There are more effective, economical and natural methods of sustainable sand restoration to preserve the beauty of San Clemente's beaches.  Press button for more details.

Supporting Local Businesses

My campaign platform prioritizes local businesses by:

  • Using local businesses for city projects.
  • Focusing on local San Clemente issues
  • Engaging local businesses in decision-making process of city projects.

Enhancing Public Safety

  • Continue private security.  Review for local business prospects.
  • Provide landslide protection information to homeowners on the bluffs.  This would include preventive measures such as type of foliage to plant.
  • Clean up hillsides affected by landslides.  

 

Community Engagement

 

  • Schedule more events that allow residents to interact with city employees and elected officials on a one to one basis
  • Request proposals from homeowners associations for city projects
  • Gather recommendations from residents and small businesses by setting up a booth at the art fair and farmers markets
  • Allow residents and small businesses to make presentations longer than three minutes
  • Request agenda items from residents
  • Redesign website for readability and user friendliness.  Use Laguna Beach website as an example.
